#Staunch Test FAIL.

In Macon Blair’s I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore, Ruth (Melanie Lynskey) is a depressed medical facility assistant who finds a new life purpose when she and her neighbour go in search of the people who broke into her house.

Ruth has always been a good person who clearly suffered from other people’s hostility and rudeness but when her house gets burgled she feels the need to change her attitude. Except for her neighbour Tony (Elijah Wood), no one wants to help her find who broke into her house, not even the police, hence she has to take care of the situation all by herself.

This movie has several gory and violent scenes involving both women and men thus it has to be a #StaunchTestFail. However, Ruth’s journey and bravery are admirable, she doesn’t always make the right choices but her character is sympathetic and the audience can easily empathise with her.
